My dad was missing - because he wanted to be - bipolar disease is horrible

Hey yall - over on FB I created a group - people helped - detectives were able to trace his phone, and we found him. I say we as a collective effort. Last night his car broke down and that's where the cops found him. They took him to a hospital to be checked out - they told us they would hold him long enough for us to drive to Charleston to see him ( Read more... )

christ, i'm so sorry to hear that ... can't imagine how it feels (my mom had some strange delusions when she had her heart surgery that lasted several days and that was bad enough) <3

Sam, I can only echo what Liz said. Please try to take care of you and your Mom, and I hope your Dad comes to realize that he is missing the people who love him. BPD is indeed very hard on the people around the person who has the disorder.
