Audition Followup

So... I got called back for ensemble for The Producers and Ermegarde and ensemble for Hello Dolly. Not too surprising. I was hoping to get called back for Irene so I could get to sing a little more, especially one of her songs. Oh well. I won't get Ermegarde because that part was listed as "strong dancer" on the audition form and I'm anything but.

That whole production was such a nightmare--especially the director.

heh. I don't remember too much about it. I do know that at the time I could not sing and everyone hated me because I got Dolly, though looking back I don't think my acting was that bad for the role and given I was in 8th grade. I just didn't understand how my voice worked so all the singing was just painful for all involved.

Meanwhile, I didn't have any qualms with the director because he seemed to like me in a casting sense, but I probably missed out on most of the drama that occurred w/ in the ensemble, as most people just didn't talk to me in that whole process except a few of my friends who were nice. It was definitely the biggest and best part I've ever played (and probably ever will play) so I'm grateful for the opportunity.
