A Shocking Confession!

Here it is, my shocking confession - I regularly watch and enjoy "Antiques Roadshow". I much prefer the UK version, because the US version has too many guns, civil war items and baseball memorabilia, but I'll watch that one too if I happen to be in front of the television and it comes on. I prefer the UK one because I think in the American one people nearly always seem to know what they have. I really hate it when you get the guy whose family has had the armoire given to them by George Washington (or someone equally important) and all the paperwork plus sketches of it being handed out. What's the point - you know what you've got, you know it's worth a ton, you have more money than god and a family history that extends for generations, so please stop using television as a way to show that.

Hee! Tell me how you REALLY feel, why don't you? But I do agree. The U.S. participants tend to bring in items that have more... errrr... family history?
