Naked Marc Antony needs to be about 50% of the show.

I think the portrayal of Brutus is fairly accurate (BTW, did you know that Caesar was rumoured to be his dad?). he was moral but with odd Roman quirks - such as lending money to the Island of Rhodes with some huge interest rate (50% I think). And it was his remote ancestor that was the guy who killed the last king of Rome and made Rome into a republic, so I think the patrician pride is rather natural - and that was what ended up being the angle that was used to push him into killing Caesar.

Cato was bonkers. A total nutter.

Despite the lack of nude Antony I thought this was the best episode yet. All we had for the unerotic sex was one shot of Atia's nipples so that's an improvement.

Well, we also had unerotic foreplay between Octavia and Glabius - or it might have been unerotic afterplay. Hard to tell.

The unerotic foreplay was still nothing compared to the unerotic sex of previous episodes! But you're right, you would think parted lovers could manage a bit more passion (still, I was sad that ex-hubby died as he was rather noble at the end. Plus I suspect he was the last person who actually loved Octavia and she needs a little love.)

Green with envy. I don't have HBO (too cheap) and have only had time to download the first episode. :(

I loved the humor in this ep. "Every woman has one." Hee. And yeah, the suicide scene had me rolling. It was like "Who's on first," only, you know, with death.

I've really come around since my first lukewarm reaction to the pilot. I'm not as hooked on this as I am on The Sopranos, or as I was on Six Feet Under, but I am enjoying it immensely so far.
