- What sort of profession in the wizarding world would you choose and why?I would chose to be a writer, much the same as I want to be in my life now. Simply for the love of writing. Maybe I'd take to travelling the world in search of monsters or previously undiscovered ingredients for potions and tell tall tales about my adventures, or write fantastic stories about mermaids and other creatures in the magical world. I'd like to occasionally write for the daily prophet of course, but something more entertaining than the headlines, maybe a celebrity gossip column about famous wizards or horoscopes.
- If you could teach one class at Hogwarts, what would it be and why?I would probably like to teach divination, because it's an intriguing subject which you can either be good at or bad, there really doesn't seem to be an in between. It's all about the unknown and the future and reading signs, deciphering simple things to find the meaning behind them.
- This year, The TriWizard Tournament is being held once again and you're of age. Do you put your name in the Goblet? Why or why not? I wouldn't for the quite simple reason that I wouldn't be brave enough, risking life and limb in a series of unknown challenges essentially on your own, is not my idea of fun. And aside from that there would be all of the unwanted attention of being the school champion (if selected, that is), people pointing and staring and talking about you. It would take a lot of hard work, and during the year you wouldn't be able to focus on much of anything because you'd be thinking about what the next task might be all of the time and worrying about it.
- If you could choose your animagus form, what would it be and why?I'd be a cat, because cats are very fast and quiet. They can slip in and out of small spaces and sneak around without anybody noticing. And because cats seem to roam all over and are quite inconspicuous, you could prowl anywhere and nobody would give you a second glance.
- What HP character do you identify with most and why?Luna Lovegood because I too have a knack of saying uncomfortable truths, I tend to state the obvious sometimes a little too much while other people will talk around things. And I very often get accused of spending too much time daydreaming and being eccentric (in a terribly good way though). I believe in many things that other people don't and I often get laughed at for saying something random out of the blue, or for just being myself.
- What would you see if you looked into the Mirror of Erised? I honestly would not know unless I looked into the mirror, I desire a lot of things or different levels for different reasons, so much so that I confuse myself with what I want for my life/career/dinner, I think I would know what it was if I ever saw it in a magical mirror or finally achieved it because it would obviously come with a sense of completeness.
- If you won a million dollars, how would you spend it? Oooh this is hard, because there are lots of things I would love to buy my mum ( a new cooker for starters), and probably a house. And I would buy a purple violin, and a cello- because I always wanted to learn how to play the cello. And this probably sounds silly, but there are trips that you can pay to go on to various places around the world to go and help save endangered species of animals and such and they're really expensive so I'd love to spend some time doing that. After that I'd probably like to buy somewhere to live in France and just write for the love of writing and maybe publish my own book, and spend my spare time playing little acoustic gigs in coffee shops (oh cliché). I'd probably save the rest of the money because I'd be scared of losing it all.
- What was your ideal job as a kid? Has that changed? What is your ideal job now? I wanted to be an archaeologist, me and my cousin used to dig up the back yard and pretend we'd found dinosaur bones and things. My ideal job now (I think)....what I would like to do is be a storm chaser, because I find weather and storms in particular fascinating but I couldn't ever do that because I don't think I'd be intelligent enough to be a meteorologist. But I love to write, I do it all the time so if I could have some kind of career that wasn't 9 to 5 in a grey little office and had something to do with writing/singing then I'd be happy.
- If you were able to invent one spell, potion, or charm, what would it do, what would you use it for or how would you use it, and what would you call it?It would be a spell called phantasma, and it would be able to conjure the ghost of any dead person you can possibly name. It would be useful to talk to loved ones, or to find things out that only that one person could know.
- If you were to face a boggart, what would it turn into? And what does it turn into when you throw the counter-spell, Riddikulus? It would probably be a large bug, or a bee or spider or something like that, and it would turn bright pink and fluffy, and maybe be wearing a tiara of some description.
- What do you look for in a friend?Someone who is honest, but not bluntly. Who will stick by me no matter what. Someone who is funny and has a weird sense of humour like me. They'd have to be interested in some of the things I was interested in obviously, so we had some common ground to talk over.
- What trait most annoys you about other people?Deception, all kinds really. But probably mostly people being fake. Pretending to be someone they're not, or people being nice to your face and then being completely different behind your back.
- What do you think are your top five abilities or qualities?
1:: I can write, occasionally not very well. But it's something I can certainly do, mainly poems and sometimes prose and usually when I have the guts to show people it, they like it.
2:: I'm easy going, I can get along with most people fairly well. I'm not a big drama queen (only the odd time, but in a purely comical way), I'll mostly just get over things quickly and without fussing too much.
3:: I'm a perfectionist, when I want to get something done, I will and I will keep doing it until it's completely right and the best that I can possibly do.
4:: I'm open-minded, I'll listen to everyone’s point of view. I'll also try anything once.
5:: I'm arty, aside from writing, I will do anything remotely artistic, graphics/collages...anything. I love to make things.
- What do you think are your top five weaknesses or worst qualities?
1:: I dwell too much on things, I over think. I think.
2:: I'm not always great at coherently getting my point across, because I have wandering thoughts.
3:: I get easily offended, or upset, if you will.
4:: I'm a very bad cook, I'm really not domestic at all.
5:: I contradict myself all the time. And it's not ever because I'm not telling the truth or because I'm incredibly dumb, it's because I change my mind a lot, my opinions and views change from day to day almost.
- Define in your own words the following key traits:
- Courage: Being able to stand up for yourself, for other people and what is right. Being brave when faced with your fears and overcoming them.
- Loyalty: Sticking by the people you care about no matter what and always doing what is right for them.
- Intelligence: Having knowledge and knowing how to use it, having a need to learn. Sometimes just using common sense.
- Ambition: Having a goal, something you want to achieve and working towards it to get there, no matter what the cost.
