The thing that bothers me about the problem area is how the "p" of "print" lines up with the teardrop. I think the whole word "print" needs to be raised up so the tail doesn't dip so far below the teardrop. THAT's the weird part, the tail of the p. I don't know if it could be solved by (a) making it capitalized, or (b) physically shifting the whole word upwards slightly to line up the middle of the tail (or near the bottom) with the tip/end of the teardrop. Did that make any sense? Please clarify, if not.
Oh, second, the navigation bar of pink squares? i would consider offsetting them so that the most top square does not line up with the main block of "pretty arts stuff". I think it would keep it somewhat separate, but the block repeated shape ties it together.
Woooo, thanks for all the input! I get what you mean about the p in "print" looking a bit odd because of the descender. I'll have to play around with all of that type. I also threw it in there really quickly, and the teardrop shapes aren't perfectly the same size or perfectly aligned, so I didn't bother putting much time into figuring out how far the text should be from the teardrops. It's possible that putting a little more space between them would make the descender poking downward not feel so weird

I like the small petals. They may be a bit too small, though. They could get overwhelmed by the rest of the page. Hard to say without seeing the full page.
You might want to put a black border around the art images to make them stand out more. You're using a lot of soft colours, a little bit of black somewhere might make it pop.
Not sure what you could do about the images. You could crop the thumbnails to be the same size and it can be kind of funky if you don't know exactly what your looking at, but the large one's a bigger problem.
Excellent point about the little petals getting overwhelmed. I'll have to try them on the full page and see what it looks like. I'll probably make them a bit bigger.
I can't decide what I want to do about black. It seems like any time I use a dark gray in a piece, I immediately want to keep black out of it at all costs. Which is why the body text at the bottom of this is gray too. I can never decide if not using black makes it all look consistent or if it just looks too muted. Either way, there's black in plenty of the pieces I'm using so there will be some black - so I guess I shouldn't worry about putting more black in if I want to.
I'm glad you like the idea of the thumbnails where you can't really tell what it is, because that's exactly what I was planning to do and I was hoping it would work out well.

Nice to know my year in pre-design wasn't a total loss. :)
