Ha! I repinned it with a small warning in Pinterest-speak. Maybe I'll create a Bad Idea Dinosaur board at some point.

Maybe. You'll want to find industrial strength/higher concentration vinegar if you can, but there's lots of factors that go into whether or not that route will work. Are the weeds amongst the grass, or coming up through cracks of hardscaping? Do you know what kinds of weeds you have? Are they well-established?
