It's hard to say if Ebony really is any better yet. Ray thinks her foot looks better; I see scary signs that the skin is breaking, but that might happen no matter what. I'm tempted to tie a plastic bag around the foot when she goes outside. I may call them tomorrow and ask if that's a good idea

Two, standing up in church Sunday and saying what I did. I thought about it a lot the day before and after. I'm glad I did it, but it was stressful, for me at least.
Stress, even if it's cause by doing something fun or good, hits me in the immune system. I sucked down a lot of Emergen-C yesterday.
And yes, both the New Yorker and my dog are wonderful companions. BTW, the spot on her foot where it looked like it was opening up/breaking has formed a scab. I find that a relief, as when I lost Biggs to cancer, the wound NEVER scabbed over. It was awful; we had drainage everywhere, but I did everything I could to keep him comfortable, and I still feel proud of my "momming" skilz!
