The phrase comes from an old Bob Newhart episode from the series where he had the country inn. Larry and his brother Daryl and his other brother Daryl come in looking for Bob, saying they wanted him to join in a game of "guess the carcass". It immediately stuck, and to this day, we each know exactly what the other is talking about. :)
