Deja vu all over again

Crap.  I allowed myself to read a bit about Dr. Tiller, and now I'm having flashbacks to ten years ago.  Dr. Slepian was such a decent man.  I installed landscape lights all around his house in July of '98.  It took several days.  Some mornings he would let me into his yard while he was still in his bathrobe.  He'd probably been up all night ( Read more... )

Don't forget that Bart was at his synagogue, worshipping God at Friday night shabbat services, when that madman murderer was retrieving his high-powered rifle, taking aim, and lying in wait for his return home so he could murder him in cold blood in front of his sons.

And these nutjobs think God is on their side in this?

As most everyone knows, I'm pro-life, but I have never (and never will) condoned the killing or hurting of those that perform abortions. Not only is it fundamentally wrong, it does nothing to help the cause of the pro-life movement. We come off as crazy, homicidal idiots. And doing it in a church?? I can't even fathom the reasoning behind that. I feel so badly for this man's wife, children, and grandchildren. I am very sorry for the loss of your friend as well. My efforts within the pro-live movement have been in the only venue they could ever make sense: the legislators.

Terri, I could hug you right now. I am perpetually on the verge of tears. So many emotions come flooding back. Damn, I understand people being anti-abortion, I really do, but to take matters into their own hands in this way, it simply doesn't make sense, and it offends mightily in terms of the other people (as you so graciously noted)affected ( ... )
