Yup, Emily's a normal 18-year-old

Since she's been home on Christmas break, I've noticed some familiar patterns showing up again.  Clothes all over her bedroom floor, somewhat understandably because all her storage stuff is in her room at college, although she still has a closet and hangers here ( Read more... )

:( I know I did this a little when I was growing up. I try to make up for it now. I hope that Em gets to that stage soon.

Occasionally a burger and fries is absolutely the prescription required.

Take care.

If she truly wants to make it up to you, how about a sincere effort to change this particular aspect of her behavior, permanently?

I can only hope. She's headstrong, which has served her well in getting things like a really super college, but wow, you know?

My boy is as fussy about food as they come yet he ate vegetarian (and he never eats vegetables) for two solid weeks during the summer when he stayed with the girlfriend. I pointed it out to him, you can be sure.

However, I really don't care what he likes and doesn't like, what he eats and doesn't eat here, but of course it would be easier if he liked everything.

He's like me, if I don't like it, I won't eat it but if I'm invited out to dinner, I'll eat it even if I can barely swallow it down because that's the right thing to do.

*hugs* Actually, a good blow up and pointing out what's been going on is a good way to keep her growing up. :D
