Had Kay, Guy Gavriel: Tigana, 670p (rec), read Lions of Al-Rassan instead. Loved Lions, still plan to read Tigana.

Originally had Marquez, Gabriel Garcia: Collected Novellas, 249p. Reading Love in the Time of Cholera instead.

Originally had Miller, Sue: Lost in the Forest, 247pp (Powell's rec). Read While I Was Gone.

Still interested in Lost in the Forest, it gets good reviews, & I liked While I Was Gone reasonably well.

Had Palahniuk, Chuck: Fight Club, 218p. Read Choke. Still want to read Fight Club to see how he puts it together, but am considering the possibility that Palahniuk's books repeat the same themes over & over.

I thought I had a comment on this post that this list started out with 80 titles. But maybe I'm hallucinating, or confusing it with a different year's list.
