Farmer Danny Anderson, 53, used a shovel to hack the head off a snake that had slithered onto his farm. He was very surprised by what happened next: The severed head did a "backflip almost" and bit his finger, the AP reports, sending Anderson to the hospital as his tongue swelled from venom

Aw, that is sad for the snake but good to know in case another snake ends up dead in my yard before I can get this awful plastic netting out. I wonder if dead but not decapitated would still do that.
