Update in the "trying to live my life" department

I've begun looking up University policies on things like medical leave. Is this a bad thing.

it's not a bad thing at all. although i have no idea how this will affect your assistantship. which is what doing ur research head of time is for, which ur doing etc.

i am SSSSOOOOOOOO worried about you. *sigh*

No, I'm not. There is the uncertainty, but I actually feel relatively OK about it. I don't feel depressed or anxious - when it gets really bad, I cry and then immediately look for something to make it better or at least make me forget. I'm frustrated, but don't feel hopeless. I just want a constructive way to deal with the pain which I still don't see getting any better ( ... )

No, no headaches or numbness. Just constant pain in one region of my back (well, and right leg/foot, less constant there though). My xrays show I have mild scoliosis, which (according to the new chiropractor I saw today) could definitely explain a lot of the symptoms I've been having, in a chain reaction type way. It sounds like it's a mix of muscles and nerves ( ... )
