The plan is to spend today in my jim jams (a phrase I learned from the partner and absolutely love! apparently, it means pyjamas) with a blanket and Oscar Wilde Bear. I have a tin of chamomile tea and a bunch of yarn, and there's a Top Gear marathon on. I'm resting today. :-)

Fortunately, Lucy Lu Who only ate the sails, cannonballs, and the plank off the side. I've been wanting to replace the sails with cloth for a while, and the cannonballs are just pom poms so that'll be easy. Though, considering how vindictive she was about it, there's no promise Lucy won't eat some more of it.

Yikes on the coughing up blood mucus, glad it wasn't anything more serious though. Sorry to hear you had to cancel most of the fun V-day outings. Also, I admire your dedication to teaching; I totally would not have attempted seminars or lectures without being able to talk...

It's not really that I'm dedicated so much that we get punished (essentially) for skipping days for things other than conferences.

The partner ended up getting me a couple of balls of yarn. The image of him in the yarn store trying to pick something out almost made up for not being able to do stuff. (He got me some bright purple Homespun and some sparkly green acrylic.) :)

I highly recommend Red Tails. I'm apparently one of three people who saw it, but it was fun.
