We used to get our daughter to roar like a lion, thus opening nice and wide. Then we had a go, and then she got a go.

When we remember (like we forgot tonight, oops), we do a shared brushing -- he brushes his teeth, he brushes mom's or dad's teeth, we brush our teeth, we brush his teeth.

It helps to have multiple toothbrushes, and fun toothbrushes -- one of his has a blinking red light (timer for older kids) and a cat in the handle.

We have children's toothpaste, but don't always bother with it.
