I wanna go!!! Too bad we are very many miles apart. Have fun.
I always had to call back the place I applied at after applying there, with in like a day or two, and then again once a week had passed by. I worked at Fred Meyer(Kroger)for seven years. Good luck.

I hate calling back. I feel like I'm being pushy, but eventually if nothing comes up then I might have to put a call in to those places I gave my application to.

I think a lot of the time it's corporate run, and if you don't call them, you just become another piece of paper in a file. Or not even that, when you applied online... Yah know? Just call! Who cares if they think you're pushy, it's that or no job anyway, I figure.

Sorry things are not going well with the job search, but you still have the entire summer ahead of you. *hugs*

I want to go see the movie too.

I'm just going to have to try harder and spend more time on finding a job then I have been.

did you try monster.com?

No ... I just started using the internet for my job search last night, but I will definitely use that site now that you have mentioned it. The only problem I am finding with searching online is that most jobs that are posted are professional full times. I'm just looking for a no brainer part time job for the summer.

I am so jealous that you are going to see 'Sex in the City'. Let me know how it is! But I do understand you not wanting to go alone-I don't have any friends here either and it's so lonely. :(

All my job have ALSO been handed to me-I've been lucky and it's been easy for me and I ALWAYS got hired on the spot. Now that I ma getting ready to go back to work...I'm clueless too. :(

It was kind of weird going to a movie about girlfriends alone, but I'm glad that I did. I wasn't disappointed. I felt like the movie was exactly how it should have been.
