My sister that is coming to visit is coming to visit is allergic to wheat.  Can anyone recommend restaurants and more generally cuisines that are wheat free or have a lot of wheat free options.

Most Asian stuff is pretty good (especially Thai and Vietnamese), although be careful about non-tamari soy sauce.

Simon is also really allergic to wheat, but has found that most bakeries in Crouch End do wheat/gluten free bread, etc. Also, N19 will pretty happily cater for wheat-free. There's also a pizza place in Tufnell Park that does wheat free bases.

Maybe talk to SImon or EJ for more specifics?

Yes, Simon will be a total guru on this. My rule of thumb is just to swap things like pasta out for rice or potatoes and turn anything sandwich-like into a salad.

Thai, Indian, Japanese (except tempura etc),

Soups are good (without bread, avoid Italian as you are limited to just salads. Perhaps ask her if she is ok with spelt etc, as these can open up options for you if eating at home.

I was curious about Indian... Definitely not Italian :D I'm definitely more worried about eating out than at home as its much harder to know what's in what.
