Does anyone have experiences with either Riverset or Pittsburgh Central Credit Union? Like or dislike? Particular service praise or complaints?

money: banking, about pittsburgh, services, money

I do not actually have an account at Pittsburgh Central Federal CU, but I've got an account with a CU in the Philly area (where I'm from), and I use Pittsburgh Central as my "bank" out here. Because the most awesome thing about credit unions is that you can do your banking from most other credit unions! So I can deposit checks, withdraw money, etc. through Pittsburgh Central, even though my CU is in Philadelphia.

I use the North Side branch and the tellers are very friendly and efficient. If I didn't wholly adore my original CU (I've had an account there since I was 16), I'd totally open one at Pittsburgh Central.

Great recommendation: People who are decent to you even if you aren't their "problem". Thus I'm choosing between two credit unions (and no big banks) in the first place.

Thanks and glad they're so good for you.

Yes! Credit unions are the only way to go. I've had big banks, too, and generally found the experience to be lacking. And frustrating.
