Air Cast

My mother needs to get an air cast boot. The doctor wants her to start wearing one right away, but they didn't have any in their office, so she has to find one on her own.

Do you guys know anywhere in Pittsburgh where she could get one this weekend? The doctor's office gave her some names and numbers, but every one she called was closed until

I don't have any sugg. (I got mine from my orthopedic surgeon), but I do still have my air cast boot. If she gets desperate, I'd be okay with loaning mine. I always wore socks in it and the lining has been washed. Hope it isn't too weird of an offer.

I'm a size 7ish and have a slender foot, so I believe the cast is a small. They are adjustable for width though (just not length). Private message me if things get desperate. I live in PGH near Friendship/Shadyside.

Hi. I just talked to my Mom. She wanted me to thank you so much for your offer, but she's decided to just wait until Tuesday. She said the doctor gave her a specific size, model, etc. and that she'd rather just wait until she can be sure to get the exact right thing. But she asked that I thank you very much for your offer.

I was going to say the same thing the previous poster did. I think we know some people in common, and mine is hanging out in the basement doing nothing so I would be happy to loan it. I think it's a medium? I live in Greenfield. Send me a PM if you like.

I think the doctor not having one was a combination of being the wrong type of doctor (she went to her regular general internal medicine person, as opposed to an orthopod) and bad timing (her appointment was at 3:30 on the Friday before a holiday weekend).

What in the world sort of doctor's office has a patient hunt down their own health care supplies after suggesting immediate implementation of said supply? At the very least they should have made the telephone calls for your mother.
