Is this for everywhere? My neighbors all put out their trash cans last night (carefully balanced on the 3 ft high snowdrifts), and I'm pretty sure no one is coming to pick it up.
Unfortunately, the sentence that I quoted is the sum total of all of the information that they give.
What I want to know is this: Didn't we used to do double duty by putting plow blades on garbage trucks? And, if so, wouldn't now be a super awesome time to start doing that again?

Due to limited access through Municipal streets and in preparation for consequences of another snow storm which is predicted to arrive Tuesday, February 9th, all garbage and recycling collection is cancelled for the entire week of February 8th. Weather permitting, collection will resume on Monday, February 15th (Presidents Day) and shall maintain the established schedule. Any garbage or recycling placed at the curb must be removed.
