I seem to have acquired quite a few new friends this week. ::waves to all the new folks:: Hiya, suckers! (TM mrmonkeybottoms) I suspect you all wandered over due to the new video. Hmmm, maybe I should make those more often. Well, I will try my very best not to bore anyone to death ( Read more... )

I'm interested in hearing how that movie is. I've heard so much good about it, but I'm in the same Ashton Kutcher boat as you are.

I'm sorry about the post-vidding depression. But, yes, vidding sounds like an excellent solution. ;) Three weeks to VVC! EEEE!

I am totally stalking you. It's official now. See? I'm using the icon of creepy!Wes stalkishness.

Hey, baby, you can stalk me anytime. Mee-YOW.

VVC! eeeeeee! and AGH! I need to buy a plane ticket!!

(Warning: vague spoilers for The Butterfly Effect ahead!)

I thought it was an awesome movie. It wasn't what I was expecting - I had gotten the impression from the previews that it was a kind of sci-fi-ish thing where he discovers time travel and starts abusing it and everything goes wonky. Which ... is true, in a way, but it's not really sci-fi (I'd call it more supernatural) and the approach to the time-travel stuff is rather unique and interesting - it doesn't have anything to do with boy-discovers-secret-portal or boy-finds-magic-watch or whatever.

Kutcher was REALLY good. He impressed me mightily in this. Nothing at all like Dude, Where's My Car. (Although he seemed like the only great actor in the bunch; a lot of the other characters' line readings sounded stale to me ( ... )

I'm so glad you warned me about the disturbing nature of the movie, ESPECIALLY the dog thing. I can't deal with animal pain. I had to stop reading Richard Adams' 'Shardik' because of the first chapter alone. That Sylvester Stallone movie 'Daylight'? I didn't cry when the lady died, but when the dog was in trouble...that was it.

And yes, you really do need to buy a plane ticket! Hee.
