I love Flash comics. "NUH UH IT'S CLEARLY PIPER MAGICALLY CHANGED INTO A PUPPET" ...and be right. Maybe Wally and Barry found out about Earl? But that's hardly the most entertaining answer.
Well, she has a job, just like he does. I like to think that she asked Piper to stay--instead of doing the easy thing and, you know, leaving a note on the fridge--because she was concerned about Wally and wanted to make sure he didn't come home to an empty house. It was sweet of Piper to agree, though it's a little sad he doesn't have anywhere else to be on Christmas Eve.
Wait, I'm confused. Isn't Piper a criminal? Shouldn't Flash be trying to...put him in jail...or something....? Not that I don't like him (I do; I'm new) but...*lost*
Piper reformed in the late '80s (he may or may not have backslid in Countdown, depending on whether you believe him about being undercover), and he was Wally's good friend for a long time, until the death of Bart Allen. I'm hoping they can patch that up eventually, because I'm very fond of that friendship and would hate to see it end like this.
1) Macho is a word I have some difficulty in applying to the Rogues Gallery, although I guess the viewpoint of a woman whose husband likes to wear skintight red spandex may be slightly different.
Hey now. "Macho" is the first word to come to mind when I think of the Rainbow Raider.
