Weekend accomplishments

Saturday I made breakfast for the 'rents and myself, Mom bought more farm fresh eggs during the week. I went to CVS, Walmart, and Rouse's; I had to go to the Rouse's on Johnston, which I don't like as much, because Youngsville was having their parade. The route goes right around the neighborhood where that Rouse's is and I have gotten tangled up in

I still haven't watched Killers of the Flower Moon, though I read the book soon after it was released. I'd heard that the format was different, but it sounds like a good call.

True Detective is getting really weird, but in a good way. 😱 Of course, most of the people there are weird, so it fits.

I don't really like beverages that sweet as an adult, but I did drink them a lot as a kid, which is why I associate them with childhood. My father and stepmother were pretty heavy drinkers--probably they were alcoholics, if the functional kind--and my father would always make me a Shirley Temple when they had their scotch and water before dinner.
