It was great. Like 4 different connected novels in one. And not the ending I expected (in a good way).

If you liked The Diplomat, i recommend seeking out the unrelated British show with the same name that came out about 2 months before. It's also about a lady diplomat, but it's much lower stakes than the American one. Mostly small stuff going on with British tourists and expats in Barcelona, it's a fun watch.
