Being obsessed with planners and notebooks may not be a substitute for a personality, as the kids say (Do they still say that? They probably say something else by now.), but I am sure obsessed with planners and notebooks. As evidenced by the fact that I start thinking about next year's in September--I've been conditioned by years of using Hobonichi

ok, i am a planner whore and have never heard of hobonichi -- so i just spent 20 minutes looking at them. they're so awesome! when i was teaching, my go-to perfect planner was from erin condrin. i loved the month/week layout and the boxes were big enough to fill with whatever i wanted.

It's a great brand, I heard about it through fountain pen collecting because it famously uses Tomoe River paper, which is very thin but very fp-friendly (no feathering or bleeding). I used it for years and the only reason I'm thinking of not doing so again is I really want the weekly layout in a larger format.

You and I are of the same cloth! I love fountain pens! I don't "collect" like I used to, but I still swoon over them. ;)
