Enjoying my Day After Thanksgiving NOT Shopping.

Why would I want to go out shopping in the middle of the night or even early the next morning after Thanksgiving? You couldn't pay me to fight for a parking spot, then battle a crowded store with lunatic shoppers! If I need to buy something, I can wait and even pay a little more in a few days or even online.

I avoided most of the Black Friday sales, but we did go to Frys. Brother-in-law wanted to buy his wife a laptop. It turned out to not be so bad, as far as crowding, but after that we went right back home.

Oh you're so right! I don't understand the whole "must shop now" frenzy of Black Friday. Yes, the deals can be good - if you can get one of the limited quantities!

My dad and I have a routine now: we go to Half Price Books, then to a few thrift stores, and go home for pie and coffee. No parking woes - and we still feel like we went out and did something.

Although staying home is nice, too... especially when there is pie!
