You spend so much time dreading it that it takes forever to convince yourself to start (jump in).
Once you've started (jumped), you have to keep working really fast (swimming really fast) to distract yourself from the intense boredom (intense cold).

So today in Shakespeare, Stefan showed us this Sony Bravia commercial on Mrs. White's computer, just because of it's awesomeness. The commercial shows something like 400,000 bouncy balls being released from the sky into the streets of San Fran, and all these beautiful, colorful shots of waves and waves of them pouring over and down the hills.
