I decided to change my insurance strategy to high-deductible and a Health Savings Account. So now, wherever I go, the doc or pharmacist says, "it says high-deductible ..." with a slight look of horror on their faces ( Read more... )

Does the HSA need to cover the deductible? That only works if they let you roll it over, I guess.

I need to ask about that club card thing! Which pharmacy is that? I have a high deductible plus HSA deal too. (I'm part of a group plan but as a partner in the business I basically have to fund my own premium.) It's amazing how much you can save in the premiums, and in the end, even if you end up blowing through the deductible (as I did last year for the first time) it's still cheaper than the regular plan.

This is at Walgreens. I don't know if other chains have competing plans.
