“Why am I here again?”  Tommy asked with frustration as he and Adam tried to put up their tent.

“Because I didn’t want to be the third wheel with Kris and Katy, but mostly because you can’t say no to me.”  Adam teased with a big smile.

Tommy sighed and tried to figure out how to put the tent together.  Adam was totally right.  The reason he had agreed to tag along on the Allen’s annual camping trip with Adam was because he could never say no to him.  Adam thought he was only joking when he said it.  He had no idea how right he was.

“Do y’all need some help with that?”  Katy asked sweetly from behind them.

“No.”  Tommy huffed.

“Yes.”  Adam responded at the same time.

Katy giggled and got down on the ground.  She pushed Adam’s hands out of the way.  Adam stood up and brushed dirt from his pants.

“Kris, sweetie, could you help me with this?”  Katy called.

Kris walked over and dropped down beside Tommy.  Tommy gave up and let Kris take over.  He stood up and felt like an idiot as he watched Kris and Katy construct the tent.

“Why don’t you two go gather some wood for the fire?”  Kris suggested.

“I think we can handle that.”  Adam declared as he grabbed Tommy’s arm and led him away.

Tommy muttered under his breathe the whole time they collected wood.  He couldn’t believe that he’d let Adam talk him into this.  Camping was definitely going on his list of things to never ever do again.  Adam, on the other hand, seemed to be having the time of his life.  He was humming and grinning ear to ear.

“Are you on drugs?”  Tommy asked angrily as they headed back to camp.  He figured that drugs were the only reason that Adam would be so happy and if he had drugs, Tommy wanted some.

“No.  Are you?”  Adam inquired with a laugh.

“No, but I wish I was.”  Tommy answered bitterly.

When Adam and Tommy got back to the campsite, their tent was all set up.  Their stuff was even inside.  Kris got to work making a fire.  Katy started to prepare dinner.  Adam observed everything with an eagerness to learn.  Tommy sat alone and listened to his Ipod.  He was never going to need to know how to build a fire or cook a meal without an oven, stove, or microwave.

After they ate dinner, Tommy felt a little less grumpy.  The food had been good and despite everything, he liked hanging out with his friends.  He never thought that he would call Kris and Katy friends because they were so different.  However, they were two of the best friends that he had ever had.

When they had cleaned up the mess from dinner, Tommy and Kris got out their guitars.  Their musical tastes weren’t exactly similar, but they knew a lot of the same songs.  As they played, Adam sang.  Kris or Katy would occasionally chime in and sing as well.  They all sounded pretty good together.  Tommy thought about how the fans would flip out to see even a snippet of this impromptu concert.

A few hours later, the four friends decided to call it a night.  They went into their tents and settled in for the night.  As Adam tried to fall asleep, he could hear Tommy rustling around in his sleeping bag.  It sounded like his teeth were chattering.

“Are you cold, Tommy?”  Adam asked quietly.

“I’m fucking freezing.”  Tommy replied as he shivered.

“It’s not that cold.”  Adam stated.

“You forget that I’m practically skin and bones and I have this crappy thin sleeping bag that I borrowed from Dave.”  Tommy told him.

“Why don’t you come over here and share with me?  My sleeping bag is made for two and we’ll keep each other warm.”  Adam explained.

“Normally, I would argue with you, but I don’t really want to freeze to death, so move over.”  Tommy spoke as he unzipped Adam’s sleeping bag.

Adam smiled and scooted back to give Tommy room.  Tommy slipped inside and zipped it back up.  The sleeping bag was big enough for two, but it didn’t give them a lot of room.  Adam moved and his foot brushed against Tommy’s foot.  It felt like an ice cube.

“Fuck!  Tommy, you feel like ice.  Come here.”  Adam commanded as he moved closer and pulled Tommy into his arms.

Tommy knew that he should pull out of Adam’s embrace, but he was so warm and Tommy was so cold.  Since Tommy had met Adam, they had been pushing the boundaries of their friendship.  Tommy knew that Adam was attracted to him.  He’d be lying if he said that he wasn’t attracted to Adam as well.  He liked being affectionate with Adam on and off stage.  Despite their mutual attraction, it had never become something more.  Tommy had always thought that someday it might, but he wasn’t ready for that.  It wasn’t because Adam was a guy and being with him meant that he was gay.  He was totally fine with that.  He was the most concerned because Adam was truly his best friend.  He couldn’t lose that.  He was afraid that they would get caught up in the physical attraction and discover too late that it wasn’t what they wanted.  He was scared that they would hurt each other.  He didn’t want to hurt Adam.  He knew that if they crossed the line, Adam would put everything he had into their relationship and he would be crushed if it didn’t work out.

Adam pulled him closer.  Tommy sighed and snuggled into Adam’s arms.  He just wanted to be warm.  He’d worry about everything else later.  In no time, they were both sound asleep.

Tommy felt warm all over.  He could feel strong hands roaming his body and breathe hot on his neck.  He moved and rubbed up against something hard.

“God, Tommy, I want you so much.  Please….Please, baby.  Let me.  Please, Tommy, let me have you.”  Adam pleaded in his ear.

“Adam.”  Tommy moaned as Adam’s hand caressed his erection through his pants.

“Please, baby…I know you want it too.  Say it.  Say you want me as much I want you.  Say I can have you.  Please.”  Adam begged more as he nipped at Tommy’s ear.

“You know I can’t say no to you.”  Tommy whispered as he quickly rolled over.

Tommy crushed his lips to Adam’s lips.  He wanted Adam more than he had ever wanted anyone in his entire life.  He was still scared about how it would all go, but he couldn’t think about that right now.  Adam’s hands were all over him pulling at his clothes.  Tommy pulled at Adam’s clothes as well.  He wanted them both naked.

Adam took the hint and broke away from Tommy.  As quickly as possible, they removed their clothes.  Tommy definitely wasn’t cold anymore.  He felt like he was on fire.  Adam pulled him back into his arms and kissed him deeply again.

Adam and Tommy kissed and touched each other for a long time.  It felt amazing.

“Tommy, I can’t wait anymore.  I want to be inside you, baby.  Can I?  Please, baby, can I?”  Adam asked in Tommy’s ear.

Tommy shook his head in agreement.  He rolled onto his side.  Adam moved behind him and wrapped his arms around him.  As Adam pushed into him, Tommy bit into the pillow to muffle his moan.  He didn’t want to wake Kris and Katy up.

Adam thrust into Tommy slow and deep.  As he moved, Adam peppered kisses all over Tommy’s neck and back.  He clutched him tightly.  Tommy kept his head buried in the pillow and tried to be quiet.

When Adam felt like he was close, he reached down and took Tommy’s aching cock into his hand.  He stroked in time with his thrusts which had become faster.  A few moments later, Tommy came hard and screamed into the pillow.  Adam followed him just a few moments later.  He bit into Tommy’s shoulder to stop himself from shouting.

Adam slowly removed himself from Tommy.  Tommy rolled onto his back and took deep breaths.  Adam tried to calm his breathing as well.  They both had smiles on their faces as they looked up at the roof of the tent.  Adam reached over and laced his fingers with Tommy’s fingers.

When he had regained his composure, Adam rolled onto his side and looked at Tommy.  Tommy had his eyes closed and was still trying to completely catch his breath.  He could feel Adam’s eyes on him.  After a few minutes, he opened his eyes and looked at Adam.

“What?”  Tommy asked quietly as Adam smiled at him and ran his hand along his chest.

“I love you.”  Adam declared in a hushed tone.

Tommy felt tears in his eyes.  He smiled at Adam

“I love you too.”  Tommy whispered as he reached up and gently touched Adam’s cheek.

Adam leaned into the touch and smiled even more.  He bent over and kissed Tommy passionately.  They kissed for a long time until they both fell asleep again.

“It’s about time the two of you got together.”  Kris declared as they sat down for breakfast the next morning.

“How did you…”  Tommy began to ask.

“Oh, God, you didn’t hear us last night did you?”  Adam questioned in embarrassment as he interrupted Tommy.  He knew that they had tried to be quiet so they didn’t disturb their friends.

“Ewww!  No, we didn’t hear you last night...And thank you very much for that mental image that I didn’t need.”  Kris said with disgust.

“We could just see the difference between the two of you this morning.  You look like two people in love.”  Katy explained with a laugh.

“We are two people in love.”  Adam replied as he reached over and took Tommy’s hand.

Tommy said nothing and just smiled at him.  It felt good to finally be admitting his feelings.  He didn’t want to hide from them anymore.  He wasn’t afraid of them anymore either.  He knew that he and Adam still had the potential to break each other’s hearts, but he didn’t think that would happen.  He felt like it was forever with Adam and he was more than okay with that.

Adam leaned over and kissed Tommy softly on the lips.  Kris was going to pick on Adam and Tommy for being one of those sometimes overly affectionate couples, but then he remembered that he was a part of one of them too.  He leaned over and kissed Katy.

When Adam moved away from Tommy, he looked around and smiled.  Tommy felt truly lucky and not at all grumpy about the camping trip anymore.  He was with good friends.  He had an amazing boyfriend who he was completely head over heels in love with.  All in all, he was glad that he couldn’t say no to Adam and had come on this trip.  It had been a good decision.
