I'm not too thrilled about this game, to say the least. I dunno why but Beckett seems to just suck ass against Toronto. It's like one of those rules of the game that should be given: Never pitch Beckett against Toronto. You also never pitch Okajima vs the O's or pitch Mike Timlin in SafeCo Field. Pathetic baseball, but you can't do much about it ( Read more... )

in game posting, red sox, rarrr!, *anger*, fuck this shit, boredom, stupid offense, losing still sucks, random, baseball, damn it all

I was jokingly talking with someone a few months ago about Beckett obviously not getting laid enough, and that affecting his pitching.

Maybe there is some truth to it after all, because today was just a pitiful display of "ace" pitching. :(

Either or, he needs to do something.

This game is pathetic, but the Jays always seem to do this to the Sox late in the season. Beckett's next start is against the Jays, too. Maybe he'll redeem himself?

We'll have to see. Hopefully he does for the sake of Red Sox Nation.

Jesus-I was checking my cell phone for scores while out, saw the score, remembered incorrectly that Buchholz was pitching, and had a huge rant going in my head.

This is much worse to stomach. :( Especially when that must mean that Buchholz is NEXT, so we're gonna lose tomorrow too. Crap-I hope Texas beats Tampa tonight.

And I love you, but if you defend Buchholz, I may lose it. :)

Yeah, I remembered too late that that had been pushed back to Wednesday, and learned that Clay also pitched out of the bullpen yesterday. He had been pushed to yesterday BEFORE the rain delay...

Lester=GOOD.:) And the Angels coming to Tampa also=good.

Well Buchholz is pitching on Wednesday which means extra rest. Also, I am curious to see how he does with Kevin Cash behind the dish as opposed to Varitek. Sometimes you just seem to do better with another catcher for inexplicable reasons(as opposed to Wakefield whose reasons are easily explained) But Buchholz has been sucktastic and I think a lot of it hinges on confidence.

Other duties called today, and I only was able to listen to the audio during the second and third innings before I had to leave again. I think...this is one game I'm glad I missed. Ugh.
