I remember reading something to that ilk on Ortiz. It's pretty astounding, especially considering he was playing quite gimpy. Imagine if his knee wasn't hurting him...he may have been the AL MVP.

I TRY to put myself in these guys' shoes, but I just can't. I can't even imagine what making a million dollars feels like let alone 36 million. So it's really hard for me to have any empathy for these guys when they demand lots of money. To what end? So their great, great grandchildren can be set for life? Because they sure as hell can't SPEND all that money in their lifetime. But that's just me being poor and bitter.

Think of it this way. Say that you have a job and you get like a million dollars. That to you is like "OMG Awesome!" and stuff. So you keep plugging away and doing your best. Then someone comes along and tells you that you can go to their place to work for 2 million. Or say that some lazy ass fuckhead next to you is making 3 million while you're making your million. Now that's not fair, is it? Now of course it really depends on your personality and the atmosphere but more often than not, I think people would take the extra million.

I mean I think it's crappy with the numbers and all, but hey that's the way of the world. It's all driven by money. *shrugs shoulders*

Other news: Mikey Lowell is having a parade in the Magic Kingdom around the 17th as of right now!!! Got a call from a friend who is in charge of parades and the like. He's like - "You would know this cause you're from Boston. Who's Mike Lowell?" I was like, "UHM ONLY THE BEST PERSON ON THE FACE OF THE PLANET."
