& a wee bit depressed.
Well, ok, a lot depressed; I've been battling the big blues for the last month or so, since really realizing that I don't much like where I live. I'm having a lot of trouble adapting to the culture of southern Maryland... which, for the most part, is full of very nice and truly friendly people. But the "elephant on the table

Also sending e-hugs.
It's a big topic, maybe I'll have to post myself soonish on my journal so as to not take up your space.
But definately YES! Depression is the Black Dog, and being uncomfortable where you are deeply contributes.

It's hard when you move to a new place and don't feel comfortable in it. I felt a little of that when we moved up here to start with, before we moved over here. And then it took a lot of adjusting again. The summer (such as it was) helped a lot because at least we could get out and do things more. I give you hugs *hugs* and Good Wishes and hope you feel better soon.
And yes, I've been going through a 'can't read' phase too, recently. I managed a whole chapter last night, which is a first for quite a while. I've been feeling a little unfocused this past month or so, I can't seem to concentrate on anything but I want to read all the books on my pile NOW! I'm too impatient.

:) thank you!
Hey, congrats on a whole chapter, that's great! (In a good book, I hope.) Y'know, sometimes I wonder if it's just the season--the in-between-- there's just all this stupendous energy building up (towards warmth, and growth) and still it's a bit too cold and the world is not that cheery, and all I *really* wanna do is run barefoot. We'll join the local kids this weekend for a community Easter-egg hunt. (Well, those that aren't shootin' them jays, that is.) ;)

I've read a few more chapters today, I've had some quiet moments thanks to getting both kids down for a nap for once. It's amazing how well I can concentrate on a book when I'm trying to avoid getting the house all presentable for my mother's impending visit! And it was raining, so I couldn't do the gardening.
