[Hello, Luceti! On this fine day, you'll be greeted with a close-up look at a certain pigtailed loli as she shoves her face close to the camera while examining her journal. When she leans back slightly, you'll be able to see that she's wearing the white cotton sundress of a New Feather.]

[Of all the things Ion was expecting to see upon opening his journal today, a close of up Anise's face was certainly not one of them. He stares for a moment or two in disbelief, wondering for a moment if he was only dreaming. The shaking coupled with her voice snaps him out of it.]

Anise...? Anise, can you hear me?

[...well, he can't exactly lie to her, can he?]

...sometimes. They send machines called Droids into the barrier and they take individual villagers out. The things they're capable of... [Somewhat absentmindedly, he moves a hand up towards his neck, thankful that the collar of his robes is high enough to hide the scars there.]

I was taken about a month ago and when I was returned, it was as if I had only just been born. I didn't even know how to walk. [Which... considering he's a replica, meant he had been 11 years old with the mind of a newborn.]

So, the effects wear off, right? [Unless Ion's good enough to learn how to walk and talk and get all his memories back in a month...]

[He nods.] The effects only last a few weeks. Sometimes less than that.

Whew...[She spots a shop with clothing on display.] Hey, Ion! Is this the shop you were talking about?

Yes, it is. [He smiles, leading her inside.] With luck, we should be able to find Tokunaga here as well.

[pigtailed_loli]

[She spots her Fon Master Guardian uniform quickly enough and snatches it off the rack.] Wait a second...[Her eyes fell onto a dress that looked like it was made from really luxurious cloth.] I can take anything here, right?

[Anise, what is that face?] Yes, that's right... there's a place in the back where you can change if you'd like?

[It's the Scheming Anise Face™, naturally. Buuut she wanted to find Tokunaga before going on a shopping spree for nice things, so she changes as fast as possible (in case Ion got kidnapped while she's changing). She steps back out, wings fluttering behind her.]

They even cut holes for my wings! Ion, do you know why I suddenly have wings?

Oh, that's right. [He's only just recently been keeping his hidden, so he didn't realize she hadn't noticed his.]

Everyone in Luceti has them. I have mine folded under my robes... just be careful not to pull out any feathers. They're sensitive, and you'll die if they both get cut off.

Yeah, I guess that's probably safer. [She turns around to look at them.] But they're kinda cute! Can we fly with them? They look kinda small...

They're probably too small to fly, though I've never actually tried it myself.

[Probably not a good idea to try jumping off from somewhere to test, though.]

[He takes a quick glance around, though he stays near the wall so he can lean his arm against it.] Do you see Tokunaga anywhere?

[Anise will be sure to stay away from high buildings and cliffs, then.]

Hmmm. Can I have a bit more time? [She walks around, inspecting every shelf closely. A flash of yellow-orange fabric catches her eye, and she pulled her beloved doll out from behind a pile of books, hugging it tightly.]

Found him! Maybe I should sew a pair of wings onto him... [Hugging him one last time, she slung him onto his customary position on her back.]

[Ion nods as she continues to look around, though he's starting to feel a bit sore. He hadn't done more than walk around and outside the house since he was injured. He hadn't quite gotten his strength back.]

[But he smiles at her when she finds it, managing a soft laugh.] I think a pair of wings would suit him.

Okay then! I'll do that when I have some time to myself! [Frownnnn.] What do we have to do next? There are houses, right?
