[Hello, Luceti! On this fine day, you'll be greeted with a close-up look at a certain pigtailed loli as she shoves her face close to the camera while examining her journal. When she leans back slightly, you'll be able to see that she's wearing the white cotton sundress of a New Feather.]

[Of all the things Ion was expecting to see upon opening his journal today, a close of up Anise's face was certainly not one of them. He stares for a moment or two in disbelief, wondering for a moment if he was only dreaming. The shaking coupled with her voice snaps him out of it.]

Anise...? Anise, can you hear me?

15? [Well, that wasn't far at all! Though he's moved out of sight of the journal in order to get ready for going outside, she should be able to hear the smile in his voice.]

There should be a bridge nearby. Follow that path and I'll be there to meet you in a few minutes.

[Or a little longer, since he's not exactly fast moving right now. He takes his journal with him as he head out of House 1 and down the road, walking as quickly as he can without aggravating his back too much. He'll be doing his best to keep that a secret for now... better that than try to explain how he nearly died when this was still Anise's first day in Luceti!]

I'll be there soon! [Anise breaks into a quick sprint. The streets are pretty easy to navigate, and pretty soon, she sees the bridge Ion's talking about. She crosses it, slowing down to a jog. What should she do if it isn't really Ion...?]

[Well, luckily, she spots a familiar green-haired Fon Master heading her way. Anise waves furiously, then darts forward.]

Ion! You won't believe how scared I've been!

[Oh, Ion would recognize those pigtails anywhere. As soon as he sees Anise, he quickens his step to meet hers, wincing ever so slightly when he stops. For a moment, he almost forgets himself and feels a strong urge to throw his arms around her in a hug...! But he'll settle for reaching down and holding her hands in his instead. His smile is wide enough to rival hers and, were his wings not currently hidden under his robes, they'd most certainly be fluttering right now.]

Anise... you're really here...!

[He gives her hands a gentle squeeze and takes a deep breath before chuckling softly.]

I'm so happy to see you. I hope you weren't wandering out there alone for too long.

Well, it was only for an hour or two. I can handle it; no problem! [With anyone else, she'd have exaggerated, but this is Ion. She doesn't want to worry him. Instead, she simply grins and squeezes his hand.] How've you been? Are you okay? ["You look kinda pale" had been on the tip of her tongue, but since Ion always looks pale...]

[He probably looks a lot more so than usual, but he's not going to give her time to dwell on it too much.]

Yes, I'm all right. But right now, we should go find your clothes. There's a clothing shop just a little further down the road. Your clothes should have appeared there when you arrived.

[Somewhat reluctantly, he lets go of one of her hands, still keeping hold of the other. Perhaps it was due to the nature of this place, but a part of him is convinced she'll disappear if he lets her out of his sight.]

[Well, it's kind of weird for Ion to be so touchy-feely, but Anise isn't going to complain. Being able to hold someone's hand is comforting in this strange place.]

Awww, I don't get this at all! Why would someone undress me and put my clothes up for sale? It's not like they're worth that much! [And it's creepy to be waking up with different clothes on.]

Actually, they aren't for sale. Everything in Luceti is free.

[Namely because there's no money. Which also means there's no gald.]

Hey...does that mean I can get whatever I want? [Fuck yeah she'll find a castle and a ton of maids to serve her \o/ ]

Anything they have in the shops, yes. [Though it'd be kind of hard to fit a castle in the shops. Or a bunch of maids, for that matter. Perhaps he should explain a bit more while they're walking:]

This village and the surrounding areas are all within an enclosure. I don't believe anyone knows why we're brought to this world, but the ones keeping us confined to the village are part of an organization of scientists called the Malnosso.

[Booooo. They just need a bigger shop!] Awwww. Is there a shop for really luxurious things then?

[She drops the subject at Ion's next words.] The Malnosso, huh. Are you sure it's got nothing to do with those fools who want the Score back, Ion? And what's this enclosure like?

I'm more than sure of it, Anise. The Malnosso are capable of things I didn't think possible on Auldrant. Some of the villagers have been here for years and still no one has found a way beyond the barrier at the edge of the enclosure. [An impressive feat given how powerful so many people brought here are.]

...and the reason we're kept here is to be used as test subjects for the Malnosso's experiments.

Test subjects? For what tests? Have they hurt you? [Stop getting yourself kidnapped, Ion, jeez.]

About once a month, they'll hold village-wide experiments. Sometimes they're harmless, but... they're also usually rather strange. They never seem to serve any real purpose, other than perhaps for their own amusement...

[A pause.] They hold individual experiments as well, though those are far less pleasant.
