Black Sheep

Was anyone else here considered to be the black sheep while growing up?

Standing out from the crowd, visibly or behaviorally different from everyone else in the herd.

When I grew up it was a different time, very different. This "sharing love and encourage your children" has not been invented when I was a child. At least not in rural hessen :-)
So yes - and it heavily affected my life. I am not quite good in showing feelings, just to name one obvious example. Other would and could tell much more

yes those were certainly different times from today
how did you become so creative? you do photography and play the laute
those are not typical skills
do you have kids of your own?
i seemed to have a foot in both worlds
it felt like living in two different worlds at times
one in the 'do what i should' and the other in the 'do what i want'
they usually involve conflicting viewpoints
you might say i have become "conflicted" because of it
borderline split personality, etc.
i am a man divided!
