Even that I am useful for sleeping at an open air cause all my life I had been traveling, kayaking and don't like much to sleep under/in tent even that the perspective to sleep on a street was always terrifying me, how it is possible to sleep when the strangers are walking around, looking at you... For me it is much safer and comfortable to sleep in a forest than to sleep in on a big city streets... I don't know what forces or attracts homeless, if of course they are not simy crazy, to do this instead of going into some wilderness, to make small house, and live with fishing and hunting some living creatures our planet is still full of at some places...

Oh, Anastasia, it seems I've tried this book many years ago but I didn't like it... I am an admire of science and space, future, overdevelped fantastic instead of living in a forest, doing different magic to survive and got some exclusive knowledge which bring thousands of seekers of truth to your shag... But of course if you (some homeless) have got brain washed by government, drugs, your misarable life the forest could be a good shelter, teacher and so on... much better than cold streets...

the book is difficult to understand until you get past the beginning. the writer was not a writer and improved with the storyline. he actually tells us that the book was dictated to him by the vedic forest people entity calling herself anastasia. she does know much about nature and science and world events. anastasia is about permaculture, sustainability, family unit as core principle, ancestral respect.
you actually have to read it to understand all this. you seem like you are living a life she describes, with ethical connection to home and community.
those who have not actually read the book are too quick to judge.
