I finally got laid off from Verizon this morning, abruptly. No big disappointment, and no big surprise -- laid off people have been filing past me by the hundreds ever since I started. Time to adjust to a daytime schedule and start a real job search for once.

Eh, 2-3 years depending on PhD writing progress. She's just finished comprehensive exams and so just starting the actual thesis. I can always stand behind her and loom, I guess. Might make her write faster.
