Urgh. Work sucks. That is all. Well, it's not all, because despite having about a million deadlines next week it's friday dammit, and I'm having an afternoon off! Accounting is way harder than it was supposed to be dammit! I had to phone my dad yesterday and get him to explain income statements . Actually I think the main problem is that the lecturer is a bit rubbish, but my tutor for it is awesome so he makes up x100 for her!

I haven't done a meme in a while, but I thought it was quite a cool one.

Also, what sort of debit/credit cards are generally accepted where you are? Like Visa/Mastercard etc? I'm fed up of my current one, and am going to go complain and try and get something different, so I figured it might as well be something that would work ok in America too.

At least you have someone who can help you if you get stuck! Glad you've got such a good tutor though!

As for cards, I've got a visa and that's accepted everywhere really. But depending on your bank, most places charge a small fee for using a UK card. I don't have a mastercard so I'm afraid I haven't really paid attention to if it's accepted, but I have a feeling it probably is! I can keep my eyes open for it though! What do you have at the moment?

ALSO, I was flicking through an old student newspaper in my room, and it had an article on JKR outing Dumbledore, but I was especially amused by the final sentence - 'we looked at other potentially gay fictional characters this week. One can only hope, but we doubt that Rowling will out Draco Malfoy too. We'll just stick to fanficion for that.' Hee! :D

Thanks for the info, HSBC is being crappy, so I'm going to look into changing my bank account to somewhere better, or at least getting another bank account which will give me a Visa or similar. The number of times recently my dad has had to pay for things and me pay him back is getting silly!

I downloaded (bad me!) stephen colbert's book on audiotape and have been listening to it while pottering around my room and laughing lots! It's rather fab, although scary sometimes how realistic his crazy views sound.

And ooh, yay for fanfic being a socially accepted art form I say!!

btw, also, we will have a go at booking our top choice (the USA one?) of hostel tonight or tomorrow. I'm assuming there will be other breakfastables available apart from pancakes, and if not I guess we'll just have to pick up snacks if we're rushing about. It's a four person dorm but as it's female only, we're reckoning the chances of there actually being a lone woman staying in one of the beds is low so we'll probably have it to ourselves anyway. What do you
