Who is this Dale Cooper guy anyway?
Well I think that's an interesting question. But before I answer that, let me tell you a little bit about Tibet.
Tibet is an extremely spirtual country. For centuries the leader of Tibet has been known as the Dalai Lama. In 1950, Communist China invaded Tibet and while leaving the Dalai Lama nominally in charge, they in fact seized control of the entire country. In 1959, after a Tibetan uprising against the Chinese, the Dalai Lama was forced to flee to India for his life, and has lived in exile ever since.
What does that have to do with Dale Cooper? Well pay attention there will be a quiz later
Twin Peaks was a drama created by David Lynch and Mark Frost that ran for two seasons between 1990 and 1991. The Central plot is basically the story of Agent Cooper investigating the murder of Laura Palmer, the homecoming queen with lots of dark secrets. However the story of Laura Palmer's murder was only in the foreground. As the series went on it showed how a small quiet little town actually had a darker side. In two short seasons the show dealt with murder, incest, teenage romance, more murder, angry forensic specialists, llamas, prostitution, drug trafficking, Icelandic businessmen, fraud, arson and murder again.
And that doesn't even get into the dancing midgets and people whose souls get sucked into logs and furniture.
Dale Cooper came to Fandom after the events of the final episode of the series and landed a job at the local police station. It is there he drinks a ton of coffee and eats a LOT of cherry pie. He also has a crack staff of detectives, inspector constables and several clone troopers who try to enforce some normalcy here on the island. He's also madly in love with Charlotte York and living in complete domestic bliss. (And if you've ever seen Sex and the City the meta of it all should amuse you.)
Anyhow, Dale loves Tibet and uses a certain rock throwing technique that he picked up in a dream he had about Tibet to solve crimes. Yes, that was a lot of jabber about Tibet leading to not much of an explanation. I don't care.
However there is one thing you should care about...
Law Enforcement and You: Your guide to Fandom's Police Force
Now despite having a police department and Dale being a sheriff, I am neither an admin nor a mod. And I don't want to be. So if you are thinking of having a plot that involves a public place in town, then you need to check the rules and then with the administrators first.
Additionally if you do not wish to have police involved in your plot, please try to keep your activities NFB/under the radar so the police department doesn't have an IC excuse to investigate.
Even then, we probably won't investigate unless you invite the police to be involved. We aren't a bunch of muns who are out to lay down the law in Fandom. Our characters in the station are just like any other characters on the island: We're here to have fun.
Don't get us wrong: Our characters are police officers. Arresting people is fun! But we don't want to do that at the cost of your fun shennanigans.
So to sum up:
* Always include the admin team in your plans. Read the rules and contact them if you have any questions about public actions in town.
* If you wish police involvement in your plot? Great! Otherwise we'll try to stay out of your way as much as possible.
*
Arrests, incarceration and interrogations can be fun! Really!* Dale Cooper is still a sexy beast.
