Probably the one thing I miss about living in Florida is the lanai (for the uninitiated, a lanai is just a screened porch, with or without a door). When I had one I used to love sitting out with my leafy plants and a bowl of cereal and just enjoy the breeze and the fountain, and the ducks or the blue heron that would come by to say hello ( Read more... )

We do, and it's lovely. I think the appeal of the lanai is the ceiling providing overhead shade while still feeling the breeze.

Woman, display away. You earned it, definitely show it off!

I was working at a frame shop when I got my bachelor's diploma, and got all happy with my discount. The sucker has a really cool frame and mat, but too bad the mat is 4 inches wide. I don't know where my brain was that day. It's enormous.

I never did frame my master's diploma, it's still in the case thingy. :/
