Oh, Arthur, why won't you just listen to Leon? This is going to blindside Merlin just when he was getting all slow dance-y and cheek kissingly, almost pettably close. Merlin is going to feel horribly embarrassed and betrayed, isn't he? It's amazing that Arthur is such a lovable idiot.

if they don't fuck already in next chapter this will kill me... I really love this story it's very fun to read, well progressed and has something deeper than the plot itself. But now it's getting frustrating as it seems they're circling around forever...

In the original version of this chapter they did. But it just didn't work as Merlin didn't know the truth... And it felt like a betrayal. But next chapter is probably the last and I always have a happy ending.
