Anniversaries
Today was my mom and dad's 40th anniversary. Can't really believe it. I can't really even fathom 40 years, let alone marriage!
We threw them a semi-surprise party this afternoon. (Semi in that we told them before we headed over so they could prepare themselves.) I was so happy with the turnout--we were worried due to not having a good address ( Read more... ) -
D: C'mon DWTS Viewers
This is a travesty. As dramatic as Brandy was (which was, yes, annoying), she really deserved to be in the finals. I feel terrible now. Dammit Bristol--everyone loves an underdog, but that should have been Kyle at this point.

A DWTS Follow-up
While I stand by my defense of Bristol Palin's presence on the show thus far and criticism of her attackers, I have to say that I'm disappointed about this week's results. I think she deserved to outlast Florence Henderson, but after that elimination, I think she was the weakest link. I figured she'd be gone this week, or at best, that she'd beat ( Read more... ) -

Related to my recent theme of keeping politics where they belong--I feel bad for Bristol Palin. Every week she doesn't get voted off Dancing with the Stars, Twitter explodes with comments about her mother, Alaska, and the Tea Party.
