Lubricus: A Wizarding Slash Con!

Anyone thinking of going to Lubricus this summer? For those who don't know, Lubricus is a Harry Potter slash convention held every August in Seattle. I've always wanted to go to one but I'm afraid I can only afford one trip to the US. Maybe next year or in two years. I wish they did something amazing like that here. I'm definitely going to put the event in my dairy so I won't forget in future. I've never seen Seattle before and I'm sure I could turn it into a holiday then :) All I need now is a lot of money to start saving again :p

(I seriously don't understand Harry/Snape shippers. Puppy shippers should wipe that slimy excuse of a smile from Snape's face. I mean, come to think of it...that would make Sirius and Snape RELATED. Ew. I'm sure Sirius would hit Harry in the head to make sure everything gets back to its rightful order. Harry clearly has banged his head badly during the second war...) ;)

Yeah, I don't claim to understand it either.

I know I couldn't afford to do a con that wasn't in the same city as me. No way can I afford a hotel, so I'll just be going home at night. I haven't been out of the state in a year, or out of the country in almost four. This makes me very sad. I used to visit the UK once a year, and I keep meaning to, but the money just hasn't been there for a while now. I hate being poor.

I know what you mean. I'm in between jobs now and no matter how epic my list of things I have to consider when saving money for my trip this summer is, there are quite a few things I didn't think of that I now have to buy or pay for. Where I'm going to get that money is still a mystery but I hope I have a secret trust fund I don't know of yet somewhere. Real life can be so tough :(

I wish I could. I'd love to see Seattle too, but I am working as an Americorps VISTA this year, and I'll be lucky just to cover my living expenses! :)

but I just want to add that I am so surprised that Harry/Snape seems more popular than our pups. WHAT IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE!?
