Oh doll this is a bloody wonderful chapter! Genuinely sweet and vulnerable and I love it! I've got a grin on me from ear to ear ( ... )

Did Lily point him in the direction of the Den or did he just figure it out?

Remus mentioned in passing in Ch 3 that he always goes to the Den on the solstice.

I wasn't wholly convinced until the last few sentences that he even wanted Sirius other than for a shag, let alone felt anything half to what Sirius feels for him. It was quite sad in a way because I'm thinking 'this guy is willing to give up everything, family included for you! Show some enthusiasm man!'.

That's probably something I need to tweak in future drafts. I'm so focused on Sirius's experiences in this story that Remus's have become sort of secondary. I feel like this story has a lot of flaws that I need to work on, but I also feel like the final version will be something I can be very happy with.

I reckon he'd willingly accept his best friend so long as he didn't try dry humping his leg :P

Heh. James has been poking me for a while now about getting his side of this particular story told. He has a lot of thoughts and feelings he needs to get out in the open.

It seems my memory is worse than previously thought. Well done you on contingency, it would appear that sadly such coherency between chapters is lost on my shitty brain ( ... )

I probably need to work on being less of a perfectionist. I spend so much time editing things I've already written that I could be spending writing new material. Of course, that's not going to stop me from completely redoing Survivor's Guilt (and probably Tropical Adventures, too). Of course, that's a million years away because I can't do that until after ACOC and my First War fic are finished. That's so much writing ( ... )

YES!!!!!!!!!!!! You just made my day! I have such a busy day ahead, I thought about perhaps saving this for later, but I realised I couldn't do that! I'd wonder all day long about the next chapter. :P

I'm so glad they found each other again! And at the Den, of course. It makes sense. I can't believe Sirius wrote those letters!! I mean, I get that he's in a completely different country, but I feel like that's something I'd have to say in person, or at least over the phone. Maybe a letter is best though. Allows the other person to sit and think it through and not have a gut reaction they might later regret.

I can't wait to see where it goes from here! :)

Thank you! Yeah, I much prefer to do my important communication in writing. It's easier to sit back and take a moment, to avoid saying anything hurtful, and to keep the conversation from getting derailed.
