Like, I can't even bear to think about Cas dying. Is that pathetic? :(

No, not pathetic at all. I'll be raging. SERIOUSLY raging. ._. You can't build up a character that much and just...poof,. gone! ._.

Exactly! That would be a real dick move on Kripke's part. Castiel is a beloved character, and given how protective the fanbase is, lots of watchers are going to turn their back on the show, at least for a little while. I know I'll have a hard time enjoying the show again if Cas is gone.
