Highs And Lows Of A Rather Easy-Going Day

Jan 20, 2006 22:56

Today had a few significant highs, and a few significant lows. The highs included sounding awesome at the mini-tour today with the marching band; the lows included feeling lousy at rehearsal today and dissatisfied with my performing. Nonetheless, it's proved positive overall.

All the awesome elements of today included:

Wow! How many songs is that, Chelsea?

Pictures is what will make my 30/60 GB--whichever I choose--go down in space, heh. Since 10/2005, I've taken 10+ GB of pictures on my digital camera, which is a whole ton. I don't think I'll be putting the original, 2-3 MB (each picture) files on there because they'd take too long to load.

Do you have the new iPod, or the 4/5G?

And yes, of course they still make the 60, lol, it's on their site.

Let's see... what else: as for videos, yeah, those will take some space, but I may not be putting any on there if you can only purchase them.

Lastly, the music that I like only takes 4-5 GB. I will never need to carry more than that amount with me at a given time, since I only like about 1000 different rock/alt. songs, so the 30 GB will be great because that leaves 20-25 GB for pictures/videos, which is perfect. Plus: documents, etc. for backing my files up. The 30 GB is also smaller; only 4.8 oz. (That's really light... haha.) I'm getting the black one, too :D.

Archos are so much better! I'm saving for an AV500. Plus, I work at the Sharper Image and get them at 30% off.

Thanks for the idea! I looked at the site and Archos' products are indeed awesome, but as cool as a 4" screen is, I honestly don't want to carry around an 11-oz. mp3 player (the 100 GB one). The iPod 60 GB is only 5.5 oz., and it plays videos/shows pictures, which is what I want. I like the durability and the sleekness of the iPod. Even if I get the 30 GB one, it's only 4.8 oz., and size is definitely something I'm watching out for, because I am going to be bringing this player everywhere.

Hey, I started watching "High School Musical" too! I got really distracted though and didn't really pay much attention. :( I think I'll see it tonight.

You should, I really liked it. Efron and Tisdale are awesome in it.

170 pics? Dang, heh. I called in for my phone, but I have to call in today. I think my phone might be in a coma for a while longer. :(

My friend Kimberly has one...overall it's a solid player, but the battery life during video playback is just inexcusable. Basically, the iPod needs to stick to music, and work on its video playback.

Inexcusable, gotcha. I was using an iPod for a couple hours yesterday and in that short time going from all the different menus, games, featres, songs and stuff, it went down to 2/3 battery. *sigh* the battery life isn't AS BAD as it used to be, but it's definitely not as good as most would like.
