Indeed. Imagine the poor folks that aren't as smart as you trying to figure it out. Clearly chromebooks are not for grandma.

I see your point, but I'd presume that grandma doesn't have much on an MP3 collection. Indeed, if all Nana does is check email and shop for support hose, a Chromebook might work pretty well.

Who is being misled, methinks, are teenagers looking for a cheap laptop to use for school and entertainment. I've seen a lot of complaints about, for example, poor Netflix support in the Chromebook forums. (The other commonly seen complaint is usually something related to the round-about process for printing, but that's a different story.)

Google picked a tough row to hoe with the Chromebooks. Because they ain't laptops, but they sure do look like laptops, ya know? But Google isn't making anything easier on itself by avoiding directly reporting the limitations of the things ( ... )
