So my country is bruised and torn from the week it has had and 2021 is not starting out so great here. I don't know about the rest of the world. Here - not great. We had a few days where we thought it was going to be ok and then wham - insurrection in the Capitol of those maga-heads. I am watching CNN right now - and the people who did it were

The whole thing is so vile and cowardly. There was ample proof that Trump was just that bad. How he was allowed to get so far is a dire warning to this country. I want to see him gone and prosecuted and I do not much care how it is done. I've read discussions noting there are precedents for impeachment after the end of a tenure--which would still have the advantage of depriving him of his pension and other benefits and prevent him from running again. After watching that vote count the other night I do not think there is much chance of get rid of him quickly but, in my opinion, I think impeachment needs to be followed up.

Yes - because if he resigns - he can probably run again - and that would be awful. So I am with you. They need to impeach. These things do take time but I think it is worth doing. Ugh - I cannot believe this mess we are in.

I am fully expecting more trouble closer to the Inaugural so brace for that.
