recycle yourself!

I knew I wanted to do something about organ transplantation for this prompt, but I had a hard time figuring out what exactly to photograph. Obviously a pt was out!

Anyway out of my snapshots this is the one I like best.

Recycle yourself! Be a blood or organ doner!

Great prompt response! Reuse can mean so many things, and this is such an important one.

Thanks! I think people forget how many lives are saved by blood donations.

Yeah for Puget sound solidarity! I live in Seattle, in the Greenwood neighborhood. This was taken on the UW campus right across the street from Husky Stadium.

And I have that little heart on my driver's license too!

I have chronic low blood volume, so I don't donate blood. I'm one of the few people whose doctor admonishes to increase sodium intake!

I hope some of my organs can be of use to someone after I'm gone.

I used to donate blood; but these days I actually have to take medication to make enough red cells. So I sympathize!

It's actually the slogan for one of the organ donation groups, so not original. I love it though!
